Dig Into June programs at the Bridgewater Library

Our annual Summer Reading program starts on June 17 and ends on September 4. Children and adults are welcome to sign up and enjoy the benefits! Here are a few program highlights for the Bridgewater Library: 

Family Night Storytime
Monday, June 10 @ 7pm
Wear your pj's to our new all ages nighttime storytime with Miss Gretchen.

Eisenhower School Choir
Wednesday, June 12 @ 7pm
Join us for a wonderful, spirited evening filled with musical delight as the Eisenhower Intermediate School's 5th and 6th grade choir present selections from their spring musical, "Seussical."

Aesop's Shop
Friday, June 14 @ 3:30pm
Aesop's Shop is a musical comedy version of several well-known Aesop's Fables, including the Hare and the Tortoise, The Wolf and the Mother Pig, and more. The fables are funny and fun; they're witty ditties suitable for young children and old coots!

Summer Reading Kick-Off: Days of Knights
Monday, June 24 @ 4:30pm
A knight in shining armor is coming to the library! Join Sir Kenneth and his squire as they re-enact a classic medieval fairytale! Throughout the interactive story, kids in grades K-5 will learn all about knights. They will also get to see an exciting swordfight, try on real armor, take pictures with the performers, and more!

Dig It: Sterling Mining Museum
Saturday, June 29 @ 10:30am
Celebrate this year's Summer Reading Theme by joining staff from the Sterling Mining Museum as they present an exciting program on the world of mining, minerals, and their importance in our everyday lives!

Afternoon Movie- Foreign Film: In Darkness
Tuesday, June 11 @ 2:00 pm
A dramatization of one man’s rescue of Jewish refugees in the Nazi occupied Polish city of Lvov. 

John Ford’s Stock Company
Tuesday, June 18 @ 10:00 am
Bill Levy speaks about his book Lest We Forget, detailing the accomplishments of director John Ford.

Friday Afternoon Movie: Les Misérables 
Friday, June 21@ 7:00 pm
Les Misérables tells the story of ex-prisoner Jean Valjean who is hunted for many years by the ruthless policeman Javert after he breaks parole. Registration begins June 7.

Joy of Dancing 
Saturday, June 22 @ 2:00 pm
Joy2Dance will demonstrate dancing styles they teach at their Hillsborough studio. You don’t need a partner to participate!

Pamela Wyn Shannon
Friday, June 28 @ 7:30 pm
This Friends concert features Celtic guitar music.  Pamela’s inventive and intricate guitar work has been described as 'a tiny chamber orchestra working in unison at the end of her hands.' No registration required.
