SCLS is the Cool Place to Be!

With temperatures projected to be in the mid to high 90s today (Monday) through Saturday, July 15-20, Somerset County residents are invited and encouraged to enjoy the coolness of their local library.

“Nine branches of the Somerset County Library System (SCLS) are air-conditioned and open during the hottest hours of the day,” said Brian Auger, library director. “Even a few hours spent in air conditioning can help your body stay cooler when you go back into the heat. The library is a great place to relax, study, read a book or magazine, check out the summer reading program, enjoy programs or surf the Internet.”

Patrons with further questions can call SCLS at (908) 526-4016 or visit the website at http://www.sclsnj.org for each branch’s hours. The Somerset County Library System has branches in Bridgewater, Bound Brook, Hillsborough, Manville, at the Mary Jacobs Library in Rocky Hill, North Plainfield, Peapack & Gladstone, Somerville (currently closed for renovations), Warren Township and Watchung.
