First Ladies according to Martha Washington @ Warren Library

Saturday, July 13 at 2 pm

She was the first of her kind, the first of the firsts. When Martha Washington accompanied her husband George, on a May morning in 1789, to take the oath of office as the first American president, Martha was challenged with setting the standard for all the first ladies who have since followed in her footsteps.  Did you know that Martha Washington was accused of single handedly destroying America with her queenly ways?

Martha is back to recount some stories about her eight years as the lady of the land and share quite a few tales about many other first ladies. With anecdotes, stories and personal accounts, Martha Washington/Maggie Worsdale shares on her journey through the lives of the most prominent and influential women in American history - The First Ladies.

Actress and international cabaret and jazz singer Maggie Worsdale brings to life the iconic Lady Washington.
