Manville Public Library to Temporarily Close for HVAC Upgrades

The Manville Public Library, part of the Somerset County Library System (SCLS), will be temporarily closed from Wednesday, October 9 through Wednesday, October 16, 2013, with a planned reopening on Thursday, October 17.

Patrons will immediately notice a change in the climate of the library upon its reopening.  A new HVAC unit will replace the building’s original air conditioning unit and boiler.  Both machines in the Library are over 35 years old, have been repaired numerous times and are no longer functioning at an optimal level.  The new unit will provide the Manville Public Library with better climate controls, allowing it to realize energy and cost savings.

Patrons with further questions can call SCLS at (908) 526-4016 ext. 128 or visit the website at http://www.sclsnj.org.  The Somerset County Library System has branches in Bridgewater, Bound Brook, Hillsborough, Manville, at the Mary Jacobs Library in Rocky Hill, North Plainfield, Peapack & Gladstone, Somerville, Warren Township and Watchung.
