ARE YOU PREPARED? PEAPACK-GLADSTONE LIBRARY TO PRESENT EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS WORKSHOP

PEAPACK, NJ.  SEPTEMBER 10, 2012 – September is National Preparedness Month, and a great time to review your emergency plan. The Peapack & Gladstone Library will be holding a special workshop on emergency preparedness on Saturday, September 22 at 11 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.

"This workshop is a great opportunity for local residents to learn how to be prepared to handle emergency situations at home and on the go," said Gregory J. Skinner, Chief of the Peapack-Gladstone Police. "We'll also talk about what we do in terms of local preparedness."

Chief Skinner will be presenting at the workshop alongside PG Department of Public Works Manager Rodney McCatharn. They are the borough’s deputy OEM coordinators.

Participants can expect to learn FEMA guidelines on what to have on hand in case of an emergency, how to travel safely, and the local response to emergency, including fire, flooding and power outages. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
