Warren Twp Library: Programs for Adults

After a thorough spring cleaning of your attic or garage, you may consider selling your unwanted items in eBay.  Join us tomorrow  Saturday, April 28 at 1 pm for a two-hour class on "The Basics of Buying and Selling in eBay" with eBay instructor Cindy Gilbert.

Our May programs get started with a tribute to the famous Duke Gardens, which closed almost four years ago.  Dorothy Smullen, teacher-naturalist at NJ Audubon Society, will present an illustrated program with beautiful photos of the gardens designed by Doris Duke.  The program "Duke Gardens- A Treasure Remembered" will take place on Thursday, May 3 at 7 pm.

Are you new to the worlds of Twitter and/or Facebook? Intended for the beginner user, each class will focus on the main features of each social networking site.  Reference Librarian Cathy DeBerry will lead this Social Networking Saturday on May 5.  Twitter will be addressed from 10:30 to noon, and Facebook from 1:30 to 3:00 pm.

On Saturday, May 12 at 1 pm meet organizer extraordinaire and bestselling author Jamie Novak, home blogger for Martha Stewart's "Whole Living", who has also appeared on HGTV and QVC.  Her practical tips, great sense of humor and motivational style will get you on the right track to "Spring into Decluttering"!

Our Musical Saturday @ Warren Library is scheduled for May 19 at 2 pm, when a string quartet of talented young musicians will interpret pieces by Ravel and Schubert.  Listen to Lucia Nowik and Alex Wang (violins), Johanna Nowik (viola) and Cecelia Sha (cello) for a captivating afternoon of classical music.

Attention all Sherlock Holmes fans! Meet Steve and Linda Morris, co-secretaries of the Red-Headed League of Jersey, a Sherlock Holmes Society of aficionados.  Named after one of the 56 short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the League meetings usually consist of a presentation on a "Sherlockian" theme, followed by a quiz on one of the famous detective stories.  New members and guests are always welcome and red hair is not required for attendance!  This program will take place on Wednesday, May 23 at 7 pm.
