Bridgewater,
NJ. June 19, 2012. – With temperatures projected to be in the mid to high 90s
on Wednesday and Thursday – just as summer begins - Somerset County residents
are invited and encouraged to enjoy the coolness of their local library.
“All nine – soon to be
ten - branches of the Somerset County Library System (SCLS) are air-conditioned
and open during the hottest hours of the day,” said Brian Auger, library
director. “Even a few hours spent in air conditioning can help your body stay
cooler when you go back into the heat. The library is a great place to relax, study,
read a book or magazine, enjoy programs or surf the Internet.”
Patrons with further
questions can call SCLS at (908)
526-4016 or enter the website at http://www.sclsnj.org. The Somerset County Library System
has branches in Bridgewater, Bound Brook, Hillsborough, at the Mary Jacobs
Library in Rocky Hill, North Plainfield, Peapack & Gladstone, Somerville,
Warren Township and Watchung. Manville
Public Library becomes a part of SCLS on July 1.
