Experienced, battle-tested officers were desperately needed at the beginning of the Civil War. Respected and beloved by his men, Kearny led by example and damned the Yankee politicians, the senior officers and the rebels alike. His untimely death was a huge loss to the army and to the men who loved him. Come hear about the life and valor of one of New Jersey's finest and most charismatic warriors.
